RSI Day: February 28, 2009
February 11, 2009, 2:49 PM EST
This February 28 marks the 10th anniversary of International Repetitive Strain Injury Awareness Day. The day was thought up by Catherine Fenech, an injured worker in Toronto, with the aim of increasing public attention and government and corporate action on repetitive strain injuries (RSIs).
RSIs account for 42 per cent of all lost time claims and 50 per cent of all lost time days. CAW members will be taking part in a variety of activities across the country to commemorate RSI Awareness Day.
