Three pick-up truck loads of used work boots and shoes were presented to Windsor-area Conservative MP Jeff Watson on September 22 as part of a grass roots campaign to give the Tories 'the boot.'

CAW locals in Chatham, Tilbury, Windsor, Brampton, the Greater Toronto Area and Oshawa are collecting used work boots and presenting them to Tory MPs to highlight the Conservative government's inaction on the manufacturing crisis.

CAW members are being urged to bring in used work boots and contribute them to the campaign, which is going on across southern Ontario. The boots will also be presented to Whitby-Oshawa riding Conservative MP and Finance Minister Jim Flaherty.

In Brampton, at Kennedy Road and Clarence, the boot campaign will make a stop at 1 p.m. Monday, September 29 in front of Conservative candidate Parm Gill's campaign office.

In Whitby, the boots will be delivered outside Flaherty's campaign office at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 6 at 1912 Dundas Street East, Unit 122.
