CAW members at Bristol Aerospace in Winnipeg have gone on strike as of noon today after negotiations between Bristol and the union broke down over demands to slash benefits for seniors, as well as a number of other concessions.

The union will be holding a press conference today, Friday April 1 at 3 p.m.

CAW Local 3005 represents 375 workers at Bristol.  The collective agreement expired this morning at 12:01 a.m.

Bristol Aerospace workers repair and overhaul aircraft and make aircraft components.
